Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep: Terra and Ventus

Both sent by Master Eraqus to seek out Master Xehanort and his cohort, Terra and Ven are the main protagonists of the Kingdom Hearts prequel, "Birth by Sleep". Terra bears a striking ressemblance to Todomarishi Shinsen from Kindom Hearts II Final Mix just as Ven does to Roxas.

Kingdom Hearts: Riku

The original chosen one to wield the Keyblade, Riku chooses a darkness over light when he and his friends were attacked in Destiny Islands. His decision places him in Hollow Bastion where Maleficent influences him to turn on Sora in order to help Kairi.

It’s kind of sad that he made the wrong choice, or else he would have been the protagonist of the series. I like Riku’s character design better than Sora’s. This is still a very nice cosplay though! Great work!

Kingdom Hearts II: Riku 02

After reuniting with King Mickey, Riku finds Naminé as she attend to the sleeping Sora. Because he was influenced by the darkness, Naminé offers to seal away the darkness form his heart by sealing his memories. Riku turns down her offer and explains he wishes to find the balance between light and darkness. This choice allows him to defeat what remained of Xehanort's Heartless.

Beautiful Riku! Although I wish I could see the cosplayer's face. Great work!

Kingdom Hearts II: Riku

Riku is Sora’s and Kairi’s best friend who was tried and tested for his friendship when he became possessed by Xehanort’s Heartless. He was, however, able to overcome this darkness and became Sora’s silent ally.

He proved that he values his friendship with Sora when he used the remaining powers of darkness in his heart while capturing Roxas. He sacrificed himself, becoming a manifestation of Xehanort’s Heartless in order to complete Sora.

It actually took me a while to figure out who this character was since I’m not familiar with the game. Brilliant job with this cosplay though. I really like the hair!

Kingdom Hearts: Kairi

One of the seven “Princesses of Heart”, Kairi is originally from Hollow Bastion who was sent to the Destiny Islands by Xehanort. Being that her heart is seperated from her body, Sora and Riku decided to find a way to help her by locating her heart.

This was sent in by a reader who was requesting for more American/Western cosplayers in my blog. Please do keep sending them in! I’d love to feature cosplayers from different parts of the world, but I guess a lot of my readers are Asian since that’s all I’m getting in my inbox. Great cosplay! And thanks for sending this in!

Kingdom Hearts II: Kairi

Sora’s close friend in the series, Kairi’s memories of Sora slowly return to her in the beginning of the second installment, Kingdom Hearts II. Riku then gives her a keyblade in order to fight against Saïx’s summoned Heartless.

This cosplayer is Mei Wai, the cosplayer of the elves in Lineage II and Bleach’s Hinamori Momo. Impressive as always, don’t you agree?

Kingdom Hearts: Ven

I found another wonderful cosplay from Cosplay.com. Several people seem to like Kingdom Hearts a lot and there are a lot of great cosplays of the characters from the game.

This is apparently Saeru who’s cosplaying. The photographer, Elemental, was the one who shared it. Absolutely breath-taking, don’t you think?

So I’ve decided to make a new blog entirely that’s dedicated to Cosplayers from the West… My Sanriotown Blog will be dedicated to the East, and this will be dedicated to the West.
