Witchblade: Amaha Masane and Shiori Tsuzuki

witchblade cosplay - amaha masane and shiori tsuzuki

Sisters Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao represented Team Philippines in the recent Anime Festival Asia (AFA) 2009 held in Suntec Convention Center, Singapore. The sisters performed a short skit in their Witchblade cosplay with Alodia as Amaha Masane and Ashley as Shiori Tsuzuki.

You can view the video with a short interview by Hexlord here and see the rest of their photos in AlodiaGosiengfiao.com. Great job you guys!

Dream of Teenager: Lahoo and Shall

dream of teenager cosplay - lahoo and shall - jin joson and alodia gosiengfiaoDream of Doll’s “Dream of Teenager” is a collection of ball jointed dolls. Featured in this photo are two of the most well-known cosplayers in the Philippines, Jin Joson as Lahoo and Alodia Gosiengfiao as Shall.

Ever since I posted Jin’s photo as Ishida Uryuu, there’s been a non-stop debate with regards to Jin’s gender. As for myself, I’ve given up trying to figure it out unless Jin would like to comment and let us all finally know what the truth is.

Either way, this is a really good cosplay of Lahoo and Shall. I never thought people would actually try and cosplay real dolls and succeed so well. Thanks to Tricia Gosingtian and Jin for the wonderful photography!

Death Note: Amane Misa 02

death note cosplay - amane misa

This is the second Amane Misa Cosplay featured in this blog… But I have a hard time choosing from one or the other.

Philippine’s Cosplay Idol, Alodia “Edjie” Gosiengfiao, is so popular in the Philippines that she is usually asked to judge cosplay competitions instead of joining them. (Apparently, if she joins a said competition, she wins hands down. So she becomes a judge to “give chance to others”.)

This is originally found on Alodia’s Deviant Art. You may view the larger image here. Photography is done by Tricia Gosingtian.

Indeed… “What a wonderful way to kill.”
