Avatar Success Gets Star Wars 3D Back On Track: "
For a long while there has been talk of a 3D Star Wars redo and by that I mean Lucas has been trying to develop the original films in 3D for film fans. He was hindered by technology but told ACCESS that James Cameron's Avatar really opened his eyes to how far 3D technology has come and just what is possible now with a 3D Star Wars.
For me redoing the original films in 3D can be great fun for film fans but I am concerned that wont be the only changes. When they re-released Star Wars they made some pretty insane changes in particular the Han Greedo shootout in the bar.
If all Lucas plans to do is use 3D technology to bring us an explosive new experience great but otherwise I am not interested.
