Def Jam Rapstar, in association with Atlantic Records UK, will offer a record deal to the winner of Def Jam Rapstarr’s nationwide search for Britain’s best new Rapper. Did you know that some English people rap?
The top UK rappers, as voted for by the community, will be invited to a rap-battle via Def Jam Rapstar’s freestyle mode at regional qualifiers to be held at select HMV stores across the country in February 2011. Those battles will be judged by the attending audience. Then, the final 10 MCs will travel to Central London to be " judged by a panel of Hip Hop / Music aficionados." The winner will be signed by Atlantic Records who will then go on to release the Rapstar’s first single commercially. It's like that movie 8 Mile with British accents!
