It looks like Late Night with Jimmy Fallon soon won't be the only NBC show to prominently feature figures from the videogames industry. Joystiq reports that, according to an anonymous source, the network is planning to try out a primetime videogame series to be hosted by former Ubisoft designer TJ Helms and Audrey Cleo, who currently does hosting duties on Sony's downloadable Qore program.

Details on the actual nature of the show are scarce, but it sounds like a news program akin to GameTrailers TV and X-Play. The source says footage was already recorded for the pilot episode at E3, with Kinect front man Kudo Tsunoda and Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon both set to appear. The source also says the show's working title is 'Game On,' and the pilot may air as soon as next month in primetime.

So...does that sound like the sort of thing anyone would actually watch? Or would gamers rather be playing games during primetime viewing hours?
